Ålands statistik och utredningsbyrå (ÅSUB)

Statistics and Research Åland (ÅSUB) is an independent public organization, which functions as the official statistics authority in Åland. In 2020, ÅSUB carried out the survey "Medievanor på Åland 2020" [Media Habits in Åland 2020] covering both general media habits as well as news habits during the corona pandemic. The results are presented in Swedish.

Avisåret (årlig rapport, Sigurd Høst)

The annual publication Avisåret compiles and presents information on all Norwegian newspapers published at least once a week. Responsible is researcher Sigurd Høst. The reports are available online, in Norwegian only. The latest report, Avisåret 2020. Papiraviser og betalte nettaviser, was published in 2021. AVMSD database

The database AVMSD database offers information on how the Audiovisual Media Services Directive is being applied in each country. AVMSD database is available on the website of EAO, a European public service body comprising 40 member states and the European Community, represented by the European Commission. Boghandlerforeningen

Bokhandlerforeningen

Branch organisation for booksellers in Norway. Provides market statistics and a reading survey measuring the population's attitudes to books and their reading and buying habits (Leserundersøkelsen). The reading survey is conducted every other year in cooperation with the Norwegian Publishers' Association (Den Norske Forleggerforening).

Organisation for non-commercial radio and TV in Europe. Information and links to policy documents, consultancy reports, research reports, etc.

Council of Europe – DG on Human Rights

The Council of Europe Directorate-General on Human Rights includes activities on Protecting media freedom, e.g. the European Convention on Transfrontier Television.

Danmarks Statistik: Her finder du statistik om brug af medier i Danmark

The national statistical office presents two lists of where to find data on media use in Denmark. One list covers sources providing data on media use in the whole population, and the other list has with focus on media use among children and youth.

Danmarks Statistik: Statistikbanken

National statistical office. Database providing basic statistics on newspapers, magazines, books and libraries, radio, television, Internet and cultural habits (including media use). Available in Danish and English. Also conducts regular surveys on e.g. household's possessions of consumer goods like PC, Internet, digital TV, etc.
