The first Participant Discipline was Linguistics in Open Access (LingOA), that was set up in 2015. Since then, 4 journals in Linguistics have flipped to Fair Open Access: Glossa, A Journal of General Linguistics, Laboratory Phonology, the Journal of Portuguese Linguistics and the Italian Journal of Linguistics.
In 2016, Mathematics in Open Access was founded. In 2017, Algebraic Combinatorics flipped to Fair Open Access.
In 2018, Psychology in Open Access will be formally set up as a Foundation (Dutch Stichting) on a par with LingOA and MathOA.
