Dear colleagues,

Thank you very much for your interest in World of Media journal. Since its launch in 2009, World of Media has been successfully providing a platform for sharing original research in all areas related to media, journalism and mass communication. It is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal with a focus on cutting-edge findings in these rapidly changing fields. 

The Scientific Board of World of Media is made up of internationally recognized scholars, with vast expertise on media and communication in different national, cultural and professional contexts. The mission of the Scientific Board is to encourage the development of media and journalism studies in both national and global contexts, and to promote a wider public interest in the journalism theories, methods, findings and applications generated by research in communication and related fields.

As Head of the Scientific Board and former Editor-in-Chief, I am glad to be working with an outstanding editorial team at the Faculty of Journalism, and wonderful members of the Editorial Board and Scientific Board. In World of Media, we are proud to have a balanced global representation of the leadership in our field. This is a team that is fully engaged and committed to the success of the journal.

I am sincerely grateful to our colleagues for their continued support and engagement over the years, and I am happy to have Anna Gladkova elected as new Editor-in-Chief starting from May 2022. Anna has been working for World of Media since the very launch of the journal in 2009, and I am sure she will continue successfully developing the journal, ensuring that World of Media is recognized as an influential journal in its field.

I am also grateful to all authors who chose World of Media for publication of their research, and to our reviewers for their invaluable help with reviewing. We are open to collaborations and hope to launch many other interesting projects shortly, contributing to World of Media’s further development and progress.
