Dirk Heckmann is Professor at the Technical University of Munich and holds the chair of Law and Security in Digital Transformation. He also is a member of the Board of Directors of Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation and member of the Bavarian Constitutional Court. He is an expert in data protection law, IT security law, e-government and legal informatics, with a research focus on shaping the law for a digital transformation that is humane and serves the common good, for example in the areas of privacy protection on the internet or digitisation of the health care system.
