As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Manuscript Submission Rules, selepas point: All manuscript (in British English and Bahasa Melayu) should be accompanied by an abstract that should not exceed 100 words with three tofive keywords in English.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font, Garamond/ Times New Roman; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
All forms of financial support, including research grant, are acknowledged in your Contribution.
Any commercial or financial involvements that might present an appearance of a conflict of interest related to the Contribution are disclosed in a covering letter accompanying the Contribution and all such potential conflicts of interest will be discussed with the Editor as to whether disclosure of this information with the published Contribution is to be made in the journal.
Manuscripts for research paper should be confined to approximately 7000-8000 words; while book review approximately 3000-5000 words.
Author Guidelines
Jurnal Pengajian Media Malaysia, JPMM (Malaysian Journal of Media Studies) is an open access, interdisciplinary media and communication journal. JPMM provides a platform for media educators, researchers, practitioners, and students to publish original research, review papers, and other scholarly works. It welcomes manuscripts in both English and in Bahasa Melayu.
Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically by using the JPMM online submission system (https://jpmm.um.edu.my/index.php/JPMM/login ). This site will guide authors stepwise through the submission process. Authors are requested to submit the text, tables, and artwork in electronic form to this address. Authors who are unable to provide an electronic version or have other circumstances that prevent online submission must contact the Editor prior to submission to discuss alternative options; email: ezaleila@um.edu.my or mjms.jpmm@um.edu.my. The Publisher and Editor regret that they are not able to consider submissions that do not follow these procedures.
Review Policy
This journal has adopted a double blind reviewing policy, where both the referee and author remain anonymous throughout the process. Please remove all identifying features from the paper itself, ensuring that Authors' identity is not revealed. However, this does not preclude Authors from citing their own works. However, Authors must cite their works in a manner that does not make explicit their identity.

Manuscripts should be accompanied by a cover page with the paper title and author/s details (institutional affiliation, email address, postal address).
Author name and other identification information must not appear anywhere else in the manuscript, except the cover page.

Author who prepare the manuscripts in Bahasa Melayu should also provide the title of his/her manuscript in English.
Full papers (in soft copy) should be sent in MS Word only.

All references mentioned in the Reference List are cited in the text, and vice versa.
Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Internet).
