Florida Online Journals is a scholarly journals publishing program hosted by the FLVC Library Services. Using the Open Journals System (OJS) software, we are able to:

Selected Proceedings of the Classics Graduate Student Symposia at the University of Florida
The Selected Proceedings of the Classics Graduate Student Symposia is an annual publication of selected proceedings. The contributions featured centralize essential discussions of the Ancient Greco-Roman world, its relationship to other ancient civilizations in the Mediterranean and beyond, and its reception. The publications present comparative discussions, critical methodologies, and interdisciplinary approaches and consider topics that push the boundaries of our field in an attempt to interpret antiquity, modernity, and their intersection.

Yoruba Studies Review
The Yorùbá Studies Review is a refereed biannual journal. The journal embraces all disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, and the basic/applied sciences in as much as the focus is on the Yorùbá affairs and the intersections with other communities and practices worldwide. The journal will foster and encourage interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary approaches dealing with a wide range of theoretical and applied topics including, but not limited to: cultural production, identities, religion, arts and aesthetics, history, language, knowledge system, philosophy, gender, media, popular culture, education and pedagogy, politics, business, economic issues, social policy, migration, geography and landscape, environment, health, technology, and sustainability. The journal seeks to serve as the platform for a new generation of transformative scholarship that is based on cutting-edge research, novel methodologies, and interpretations that tap into the deep wells of Yorùbá epistemology and ontology. The journal will also publish critical review essays, book reviews, and scholarly debates on topical issues. The Yorùbá Studies Review will publish research and review manuscripts in the five languages that are primarily used in the Yorùbá world—English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Yorùbá. Where possible, abstracts of papers will be translated into English.

ItaliaNoles is a student publication produced by students at the FSU Florence Campus each semester. The magazine features articles on Florence culture, cuisine, student life, and other special topics.

Journal of the Florida Mosquito Control Association
The Florida Mosquito Control Association (former Florida Anti-Mosquito Association organized in 1922) publishes the Journal of the Florida Mosquito Control Association (JFMCA). The aims of the JFMCA is to exchange / share the research information about new findings and discovery, new tools / equipment and the modification & improvement of exisitng tools, and new techniques for surveillance and control of mosquitoes and other biting flies. The JFMCA publishes the scope of opinion, forum, reviews, original research articles, scientific notes, operational notes, and the FMCA’s annual meeting abstracts. The JFMCA publishes one volume per year. The FMCA has published 68 volumes with different titles of publications (report of annual meetings, proceedings of the FAMA, the JFAMA, and the JFMCA) since 1929 to 2021.
The JFMCA peer review process: The Editor-In-Chief assigns the manuscripts to the Subject Editor based on the subject and content of the manuscripts. The Subject Editor invites 2-3 Scientists in the specific field to conduct the peer-reviewing. If one of peers recommends to reject the manuscript, then the Subject Editor will invite additional 1-2 peers to review ths manuscirpt again. The Subject Editors will make the final decision to accept or not based on the 2-3 peer reviewers' recommendations and the authors' revision. Each Subject Editor will process 2 manuscripts for each volume. Also, the Editor-In-Chief invites the Guest Editor in the specific field of the manuscript to handle a manuscript peer reviewing based on the needs.

The International FLAIRS Conference Proceedings
The Florida Artificial Intelligence Research Society (FLAIRS) was founded in 1987 to promote and advance AI within the State of Florida and beyond, with interaction between researchers from colleges, universities, and industry. The annual International FLAIRS Conference promotes Artificial Intelligence through the presentation of new research and development in AI, as papers, posters, tutorials, and workshops at the conference, and a conference proceedings.

Florida Journal of Educational Research
The Florida Journal of Educational Research (FJER) is published by the Florida Educational Research Association (FERA). The purpose of FJER is to facilitate communication among educators, policy-makers, and researchers in the state of Florida and beyond. Although the Journal is the primary publication of FERA, manuscripts submitted by both members and nonmembers of the association will be considered for publication. FJER has been published since 1959, originally as a print journal distributed to all members of FERA. In 1996, the journal began to publish online articles and is now exclusively published online as an open-access academic journal.

Mathematical Cryptology
Mathematical Cryptology (MC) is a forum for original research articles connecting Mathematics and Cryptology. Foundational and applied contributions relating to Mathematics and Cryptology are equally welcome. By default, all submitted manuscripts must contain an original research contribution. When submitting an extended version of a conference/workshop contribution, the additonal contribution over the prior version has to be indicated clearly. Survey articles can be considered, if they have potential to advance a particular line of research.

Athanor
Athanor features student papers from the annual Art History Graduate Symposium hosted by the Department of Art History at Florida State University. Inaugurated in 1981, the Art History Graduate Symposium brings together students, professors, and members of the community to share ideas and expertise in a wide variety of art history and humanities topics.

Selbyana
Selbyana is the peer-reviewed research journal of the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. It publishes original studies that explore various aspects of tropical forest diversity with an emphasis on epiphytes and their forest canopy habitats. Volumes have been published in printed form since 1975. Starting with Volume 33 (2019), Selbyana is available only online.

We welcome submissions from both scholars and practitioners from all disciplines that involve managing information for public use.

New Florida Journal of Anthropology
Mission: The New Florida Journal of Anthropology is an open access, peer-reviewed, graduate student-run academic journal housed in the Anthropology Department of the University of Florida. Submissions are not limited to the UF community or its affiliates. We encourage diversity of scholarship by publishing any anthropologically focused research with no geographic or temporal restrictions. In the spirit of inclusion, we also welcome research from related subjects including linguistics, geography, history and other related fields. Our primary goal is the dissemination of knowledge. To attain this, NFJA issues are gold open access, meaning they are digital, and completely free of charge for both authors and readers.
We accept submissions from established researchers who have either earned a graduate degree (MA, MS, PhD, etc) or are currently in graduate school. We accept submissions from undergraduates provided that at least one author has earned a graduate degree or is currently in graduate school. All research article submissions are subject to double-blind peer-review by experts in the field, while ethnographic film submissions undergo single-blind review.

The Society of Florida Archivists Journal (SFAJ) is a peer-reviewed, open access, fully online publication governed and managed completely by members of the Society of Florida Archivists. Tropical Lepidoptera Research
The scientific journal TROPICAL LEPIDOPTERA RESEARCH is published by the Association for Tropical Lepidoptera twice a year. The journal commenced publication in 1990 as Tropical Lepidoptera. Major abstracting services cover the journal, including Abstracts of Entomology (BIOSIS) and Zoological Record. While the journal still comes out in print (ISSN 1941-7659), past and current issues are also archived here, and certain supplements may only be available electronically or through a limited number of major libraries.

Studies in African Linguistics
Studies in African Linguistics is a peer-reviewed, academic journal that publishes descriptive and theoretical articles on African languages. Contributions need not adhere to one particular theoretical orientation, but should be based on empirical African language data. The journal especially welcomes papers that are based on original fieldwork, and also considers short descriptive grammatical sketches of endangered African languages

Journal of Assessment in Higher Education
This Journal of Assessment in Higher Education (JAHE) is a semi-annual, open-access publication intended to present the peer-reviewed conference proceedings resulting from the annual assessment conference held each spring at the University of Florida. A second, peer-reviewed issue will focus on topics and issues raised at the conference that will benefit from further treatment and presentation of a wide variety of perspectives presented as journal articles. Other contributions that no not arise directly from the conference are also considered. JAHE does not require a fee for publication and is free to readers.

The Florida Geographer is a statewide journal with coverage of social and physical geographical topics. Most articles are related to the state, or feature Florida figures as an important component.

Journal of Coastal Research
Journal of Coastal Research, an International Forum for the Littoral Sciences, is dedicated to all aspects of coastal research. It draws from multiple disciplines such as public relations, political science, sociology, social psychology, and marketing--among others--to conduct research that contributes to the best practices for those seeking to create positive change. It embraces all social science research methods including quantitative, qualitative, historical, critical, and legal.

Holarctic Lepidoptera
The scientific journal HOLARCTIC LEPIDOPTERA was published in print by the Association for Tropical Lepidoptera between 1994 and 2004. The past issues are archived here. While the regular publication of this series has been discontinued, occasional longer on-line papers, such as 2008 paper by Austin and Leary “Larval Hostplants of Butterflies in Nevada”, are still considered for publication.

International Journal of Intelligence Ethics
The International Journal of Intelligence Ethics (IJIE) is an international peer-reviewed journal devoted to normative aspects of intelligence operations. IJIE published articles focusing on the role and operations of intelligence in support of national security and the justifications for obtaining intelligence and/or what may justifiably be done to collect and produce intelligence. Registration is not required to view the articles, book reviews, and other items in IJIE.

Florida Entomologist
Florida Entomologist*, "An International Journal for the Americas," is the official journal of the Florida Entomological Society and is published quarterly. Articles published in the Florida Entomologist are open access and reflect all aspects of basic and applied entomological and acarological science of relevance to Florida agriculture, urban environments, and natural resources. Research from the southeastern U.S., the Caribbean region, and Mexico is particularly invited as these areas are important sources of invasive species in Florida. First reports of species in new geographic regions will not be accepted. Each Florida Entomologist article is available on this site (search below) and on BioOne.

Journal of Nematology
The Journal of Nematology is the official publication of the Society of Nematologists (SON) and publishes original papers on all aspects of basic, applied, descriptive, theoretical or experimental nematology. Other categories of papers include invited reviews, abstracts of papers presented at annual meetings, and special publications as appropriate.
The Journal of Nematology is published quarterly and subscription is included as part of SON membership. Nonmembers of SON are encouraged to publish in the Journal of Nematology.

FAU Undergraduate Law Journal
The Florida Atlantic University Undergraduate Law Journal (ULJ) is published annually in the Spring by the campus organization of the same name. The ULJ’s editorial process includes revision and review by both students and faculty members. The purpose of the ULJ is to provide an environment and forum for the scholarly inquiry and study of current legal subjects. The ULJ strives for diversification in its journal; the accepted articles can pertain to any legal discipline and can be submitted by an undergraduate student of any major. The most exceptional articles from undergraduate authors are published in the annual journal. In publishing the journal, the ULJ hopes to stimulate and sustain undergraduate law discussion and education at FAU. -
Insecta Mundi
Insecta Mundi is a journal primarily devoted to insect systematics, but articles can be published on any non-marine arthropod. Manuscripts considered for publication include, but are not limited to, descriptions of new taxa, revisions, taxonomic or nomenclatural notes, bibliographies, checklists, catalogs, reviews, and life histories. For papers describing new taxa, Insecta Mundi provides authors rapid publication so the names may be included in other publications. -

Nematropica is an international scientific journal of tropical and subtropical nematology. Contributions describing nematological research in temperate regions, however, will be considered if they are of general interest.
