Purchase options

Due to disruption with our distributor Turpin, to subscribe to our journals or collections please contact us at [email protected]

Subscribe by title

Institutions can purchase one- or two-year journal subscriptions, with Online only or Print and Online options. Access is provided for the volume purchased only, unless it is part of a Tailored, Subject or Full Journals Collection, which include back-volume access. Single issues (print) or single articles (online) are also available to purchase. Prices and links to order are listed on the ‘Purchase’ section of each journal’s home page.

Single articles

Single articles can be purchased on a pay-per-view on this platform, via Copyright Clearance Center's Get It Now Service or from the British Library's Document Supply Service.

Single volumes

This is the standard 1- or 2-year subscription set-up, where you can purchase a current or back volume, gain perpetual online access and will receive a renewal quote the following year.

Collections

We offer several different discounted Journal collections – Subject Area Collections, Full Journals Collections, Tailored Collections and Archive Collections – so you can find the package that suits you! We also offer discounted e-book collections, Subject Area, Tailored Collections and Archive Collections. See our Collections page here.

Archive Collections (backlist content)

Save 20–30% on Archive Collections of journals with seven or more volumes. Archive Collections include perpetual access to the current volume and full archive (Online only). Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.

Perpetual back-volume access (Online only) can also be purchased for single volumes. Back volume purchases are a one-off charge: there is no annual fee for continued access to purchased volumes.

Subscription Agents

Our discount for subscription agents is 5% off the customer's price.

If ordering Tailored Collections on behalf of libraries, please ask us for a quotation and/or proforma invoice as standard renewal invoices do not incorporate collection discounts. Orders for collections should be sent to [email protected]. All titles in collections should be ordered as a collection, at the same time and on the same customer number. Please see our Collections page for more information.

If ordering discounted subscriptions on behalf of customers, please ensure you quote the discount code when ordering. If ordering discounted subscriptions, please ensure you quote the discount code when ordering.

Download a complete current price list here.

Invoices (books only)

When accessing Intellect Discover logged in with your administrator account, and viewing a book to which you do not have access yet, you will see a button to add the book to an invoice in addition to the other purchase options.

Click on 'Add to purchase invoice'. This will take you back to the book homepage with a message popping up that says 'Added to Purchase Invoice'.

If you click on the 'Purchase Invoice' text in the blue line, you can view the current contents of the invoice. You can also view the invoice through the 'Content & Orders' section in the 'My Profile' dashboard ( icon in top navigation).

You can add as many books as you wish to the invoice and then view the invoice page before submission. You can remove items from their invoice and add a reference number for the invoice (this is optional but we highly recommend adding a reference number). Clicking on 'Update Order' will save any changes to the invoice. Clicking on 'Submit Order' will send an email to the publisher's subscriptions team as well as to yourself. The email will contain an attachment containing a list of the selected books. The body of the email will quote the reference number.

After invoice submission, the publisher's subscription/sales team will contact you for the next steps including offline payment. After these steps are carried out, you will receive access to the content.

Subscriptions and access information

Subscriptions are available as either Print and Online (institutional) or Online only. Single issues are currently not available in digital format. All Intellect journals are hosted on Intellect Discover.

Access can be set up via IP address and/or username and password (for remote access) using OpenAthens or Shibboleth. You may need to consult your network administrator for this information. Please ensure IP address ranges for all sites are included to ensure access. Online access is multi-site and multi-user, provided all sites of the subscribing institution are administered under one central administration and are within one country. There is no limit to the number of users, provided all users are affiliated to the subscribing institution. Please contact us, providing details of FTEs, if access is required for sites in more than one country.

Intellect Discover is also integrated with the Google CASA service which let researchers access full text PDFs from journals to which their institution has subscribed, even when they are working at home and not using a university IP address.

Setting up and activating subscriptions

Any subscriptions that were accessed through IngentaConnect up until the migration to IntellectDiscover will have been moved to your Intellect Discover account. Please log in and navigate to the icon and see 'My subscriptions'.

To login: If your institution is already registered on Intellect Discover or IngentaConnect, simply use the login credentials you used for IngentaConnect and log in to your account here with your administrator username and password.

If your institution is not already registered with Intellect Discover or IngentaConnect, please click here to register.

Under 'My profile', select ‘My subscriptions’ to view any current or expired subscriptions. To newly subscribe to a title, navigate to the journal either through the search bar, or the A-Z index of journals. You can add a title to your basket by selecting 'Buy this volume' and proceed to check-out by clicking on the cart icon in the top navigation bar. A number on a yellow circle will indicate the amount of items that are currently in your cart. Once you have checked out and processed through the payment via WorldPay, the access symbol for the journal you have purchased will change and indicate that you have now subscribed access.

For larger orders (tailored collections), please contact [email protected]
