The hot topic for IAMCR is the forthcoming Montreal conference. By now,
you may be aware that we received over 2,200 abstracts, the second
highest number in the history of the association. Consequently,
difficult choices had to be made. We’re hoping that those with proposals
accepted are making travel plans and preparing for travel to Montreal.

Quizá ya sepan que, hasta el momento, hemos recibido más de dos mil 200
propuestas, el segundo número más alto en la historia de la asociación.
Por lo tanto, debemos tomar decisiones difíciles. Esperamos que aquellos
con propuestas aceptadas se estén preparando para salir rumbo a
Montreal.

We are one step closer to the 2015 edition of the annual conference
of the International Association for Media and Communication Research
hosted by Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Under the theme of Hegemony or Resistance? On the Ambiguous Power of Communication,
more than 2,200 abstracts were submitted through the OCS system for the

Estamos un paso más cerca de la edición 2015 de la conferencia anual de
la Asociación Internacional de Estudios en Comunicación Social
presentada por la Universidad de Québec en Montreal (UQAM). Bajo el tema
de
¿Hegemonía o Resistencia? Acerca del Poder Ambiguo de la Comunicación,
se presentaron más de 2 mil 200 propuestas a través del sistema OCS
para la conferencia. El comité organizador local quisiera agradecer a
todos por sus contribuciones y espera con ansias esta exitosa edición
2015 de la conferencia.

Nous nous approchons toujours plus de l’édition 2015 de la conférence
annuelle de l’International Association for Media and Communication
Research organisée par l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Sur le
thème
