Panel abstract

Arts-based Research (ABR) is a series of methods and strategies that combines academic and artistic research repertoires, allowing to enrich the more traditional forms of knowledge production (and communication) that are still dominant in Communication and Media Studies. This roundtable panel brings together a group of authors who have used ABR, in a variety of capacities, and who will discuss their experiences with ABR, touching upon the opportunities for expanding knowledge production, for hybridizing academic identities and for expanding academic publics, without blindly celebrating ABR and ignoring its limitations.
