Jay Blumler Commemorative Session

Jay Blumler died on 30 January 2021 at the age of 96. He was a Fellow and Past President of ICA (1989-90), Emeritus Professor of Public Communication at the University of Leeds, Emeritus Professor of Journalism at the University of Maryland, author of 15 books and many articles on political communication, election campaigns, public service broadcasting, comparative research, democracy in cyberspace, and much more.

IAMCR will hold a special online session during the 2021 IAMCR conference to commemorate Emeritus Professor Jay Blumler and to highlight his work and contributions to the field of communication and media studies. The speakers, who all had a chance to work with him, will speak about Jay Blumler and his work during the session.

The special online session will be pre-recorded on 11 May and a limited number of IAMCR members will be able to join in the audience. To reserve your space, you must pre-register.To register you must be a member of IAMCR and logged in to your account.
