Yazım Kuralları

Global Media Journal'a gönderilecek yazılar aşağıda belirtilen kurallara uygun olmalıdır: 

1. Makalelerde kaynak gösterimi APA tarzına göre yapılmalıdır.
2. Makaleler İngilizce veya Türkçe olmalıdır.
3. Gönderilen makalelerde bulunması gereken bilgiler: 
            (a) Yazı başlığı,
            (b) Yazar adı,
            (c) Akademik ünvanı, çalıştığı kurumun adı,
            (d) Kısa özgeçmiş, 
            (e) Posta ve e-posta adresleri,
            (f) Makalenin İngilizce ve Türkçe kısa özeti,
            (g) Varsa yazarın kişisel web sayfasına erişim adresi.
4. Teslim edilecek makaleler, çizelgeleri ve varsa fotoğraflarıyla birlikte bilgisayar ortamında yayıma hazır hale getirilmiş olmalıdır.
5. Makalelerin uzunluğu konusunda kesin bir sınırlama olmamasına karşın, 7000 sözcük optimum sınırdır.
6. Yazarların makalelerinde Türkçe'yi ve İngilizce’yi doğru biçimde kullanmaları ve makaelelerini teslim etmeden önce dikkatli bir inceleme yapmaları beklenir.
7. Makale Yazım Kuralları'na uymayan makaleler düzeltilmek üzere geri gönderilir.
8. Yazarlar, daha önce yayımlanmış bir malzeme (çizelge, grafik, fotoğraf, resim vb) kullanıyorlarsa, telif hakkı sahibinden izin almak zorundadırlar.
9. Yazarların, elektronik yayıncılığın sunduğu olanaklardan yararlanarak yazılarında yapılan göndermelere bağlantı vermeleri teşvik edilir.
10. Makaleler, bir buçuk aralıklı olarak Times New Roman yazı karakteriyle 12 punto olarak yazılmalıdır.
11. Dergiye gönderilecek makalelerin daha önce başka bir yerde yayımlanmamış olması ya da yayın için değerlendirme aşamasında bulunmaması gerekir.
12. Hakemli makaleler bölümüne gönderilecek makaleler hakemler tarafından değerlendirilir. Hakem raporları doğrultusunda makaleler reddedilebilir veya yazarlardan bazı düzeltmeler yapmaları istenebilir.
13. Dergide yayımlanacak diğer yazılar (davetli yazı, davetli makale, lisansüstü çalışmaları, kitap eleştirileri vb.) editör ya da editörler tarafından değerlendirilir.

Dergi açık erişimdir.

Wiriting Rules

Papers to be submitted to Global Media Journal should adhere to the following rules:

1. Papers should be written in either in English or Turkish.
2. Sources should be cited in APA style.
3. All papers should include: 
            (a) The title of the paper
            (b) The name of the author 
            (c) The scholarly degree  and institutional affiliations of the author
            (d) Short CV
            (e) Mail and e-mail addresses 
            (f) Abstract of the article in both languages
            (g) The URL of the personnel website of the author if available
4. Submissions must be in camera-ready format and include tables, graphs, charts, etc. within the text.
5. Although there is no absolute limit on length, submitted papers should be confined to approximately 7000 words.
6. Authors are expected to use English/Turkish properly and to proofread their papers carefully before submitting them.
7. Papers which do not follow the Paper Submission Rules will be sent back for further editing.
8. Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permission from copyright holders for reproducing previously published material, including charts, graphs, photos, tables, etc.
9. Authors should consider including links to any references, web pages, or sites related to their work (this is a strong advantage of electronic publications).
10. Papers should be written using the Times New Roman 12 font size and set at 1.5 lines.
11. It is required that the submitted papers to the journal have not been published before and are not at the stage of consideration for publication by another journal.
12. Papers to be submitted to the refereed section are evaluated by referees according to their field of study; Papers might be refused or authors could be asked to do some further editing if required by the referee reports. Articles are reviewed by board members, or by faculty members from different universities.  Reviewing process takes one and a half months.  If the  reviewer asks for corrections or  suggestions, the manuscripts  are sent to the author to revise or to make necessary changes. For some cases the manuscript can be sent to a second reviewer.
13. Other kinds of papers to be published in the journal (guest papers, graduate studies, book reviews etc.) are considered by the editor or the editors.

The journal is open access.
