In late 2021, as a registered charity, CJC began soliciting private donations. We were pleased to receive donations from a wide variety of people some of whom became Listed Charter Donors by donating $100 or more. Listed in alphabetical order of last name, they are as follows:

From time to time, various institutions have provided outstanding support, financial, moral, organizational or other support for the Canadian Journal of Communication. Institutions

  • Carleton University
  • Concordia University
  • University of Calgary
  • Simon Fraser University
  • McGill University

The above donors and institutions complement the backbone of any journal that is formed by the succession of Editors that voluntarily, and for a number of years, take on the responsibility of overseeing the publication of research and analysis that is the essence of a journal. Alongside these Editors are other volunteers who serve as Associate Editors, Assistant Editors, Section Editors, and staff members some of whom have served the journal for many years. Most notable are the following individuals that have worked with the journal for more than 15 years. They are:

  • Marilyn Bittman, Managing Editor, 1999 to 2022
  • Brian Hydesmith, Design and Layout Professional, 2005 to 2022
  • Anne Carscallen, Bookkeeper and Subscription Manager, 2000 to 2022.
